Old Business:
Christmas Party: To be held at The River Lake Inn in Sherwood on December 3, 2005 at 6 pm. Choice of prime rib, white fish, or Hawaiian chicken $14 to $16 excluding drink and dessert. Land and Sea Buffet $21.95 excluding drink and dessert. 15% gratuity. Motion per Don and seconded by Joe. Motion carried. Reservations to be phoned to Shirley VanDam at 369-9772.

Meeting times: Discussion ensued concerning changing our meeting dates and times. For the next 3 months, with the exception of our Christmas party/meeting, we will meet on the first Thursday at 6:30 pm. Motion per Roger and seconded by Shawn.
Our November meeting will be held on November 3rd at 6:30pm.

Grills:
Shawn is awaiting information from the Chapter Field Administrator from The EAA
Don’s coworkers were unable to help him.
Carol suggested contacting the Burlington Fire Department for their advice.
John stated Hastings made their own grills.

Joe will be attending the Jackson EAA meeting on Wednesday and will report back.

John would like to contact The Coldwater Reporter and have a picture of Ron Dooley and
Roger donating the TV and equipment to the Branch County Memorial Airport from our Flying Club.

Matthew Branson from Sturgis needs our assistance in forming an EAA Chapter. All members of EAA, to contact Roger with your name, address, and EAA number.

New business:
To add interest to our meetings, John suggested volunteers could host each meeting and provide speakers, themes, and even various meeting locations. Shawn offered to present
slides of his Alaskan vacation at our November meeting. Jamie agreed to order pizza with the members sharing the cost. We are to bring our own drink and tableware.

Dues are $10 per family and are due at our Christmas party. The final deadline will be the February meeting.

Katrina would like to commemorate the former members of the club by presenting them with honorary memberships. Those recommended: Buss and Marguerite Bassage, Loranetta Diebel, Aubrey Holt, Lyle and Mary Luke, Ed and Ethel Reed, Marvin Rosenberg, Paul Wilison, Frannie Wolff and daughter Patty Wagoner. Motion per Roger and seconded by Joe. Motion carried. Addresses to be given to the secretary for notification.

Shawn gave Katrina the mailing list of Branch County pilots for our upcoming membership drive. The cards with e-mail addresses from the Fly-In will be utilized. Shawn has graciously added The Flying Club to Elite’s web site. He will be adding the summary of the minutes each month.

Don expressed interest in forming a partnership/s to purchase an airplane. Jim Siler and Mike Odren are also attracted to this suggestion. John offered to share his experiences as one of four owners of an aircraft.
